We want to ensure you have a smooth transition into higher education and provide you with all the essential information you need to start your Eduvos journey.    

We’ve designed an enriching Orientation and Induction programme for you. It’s a comprehensive guide that aims to give you insights into the various activities and information sessions before classes officially begin.

  • Durban: 10 May (09:00 -15:00)  

  • East London: 9 May 2024 (09:00 - 15:00)  

  • Midrand: 7 & 8 May 2024 (09:00 – 14:00)   

  • Mowbray: 8 May 2024 (09:00 - 15:00)  

  • Nelson Mandela Bay: 9 & 10 May (09:00 - 15:00)  

  • Mbombela: 6, 7 & 8 May (09:00 – 15:00)   

  • Potchefstroom: 8 & 9 May (09:00 - 15:00)  

  • Pretoria: 6 & 7 May (08:30 – 15:00)  

  • Tyger Valley: 6 & 7 May (09:00-13:00)  

  • Vanderbijlpark: 7 & 8 May (09:00 - 13:00)  


Online (Part-Time & Full-Time)/Distance: 6 & 7 May (17:00- 19:00)

Social Events  
Kickstart your Vossie experience by participating in a range of social events. These activities are designed to help you connect with fellow students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.  

SRC Introduction  
Get to know your campus Student Representative Council (SRC) and understand their role in advocating for student interests. This introduction will help you become familiar with the student governance structure.  

Learn more about our Clubs and Societies  
Explore the diverse range of clubs and societies available at each of our Eduvos campuses. Engaging with these groups can be a fantastic way to pursue your interests, make friends, and enhance your overall study experience.  

Campus Tours and Staff Introductions  
Get to know your campus and understand the layout and key locations during a guided campus tour. Additionally, you will meet the dedicated staff members who are here to support you throughout your academic journey.  

Introduction to Eduvos and Our Values  
Gain insights into our Eduvos values, as an institution, we are guided by them and they’re practised by our students as they represent the attributes required to fulfil our purpose of Shaping Potential, Student by Student, Towards Africa’s Potential.    

Here is a summary of the key information you’ll need for your studies:  

Navigation to Modules and Module Guides  
Learn how to navigate through your academic modules and access module guides. These sessions will empower you to make the most of your academic resources.  

MyLMS Demonstration & Driver's License Course  
Get hands-on experience with our Learning Management System (LMS) – MyLMS. We'll guide you through its features and functionalities, ensuring you're equipped with the skills needed for a successful academic journey.  

Teams and Vossie Email  
Familiarise yourself with communication tools like Microsoft Teams and your Eduvos email (Vossie.net). Efficient communication is crucial, and these platforms play a key role in keeping you connected with your peers and lecturers.   

Student Card Distribution  
You’ll receive your student cards during Orientation and Induction. Not only is your student a form of identification, it also grants you access to various facilities on campus.  

Assessment & Exam Terminologies, Plagiarism & Referencing  
Understand the assessment and exam terminologies commonly used at Eduvos. We’ll also discuss plagiarism and referencing guidelines to ensure academic integrity.  

Eduvos Policies, Processes & Disciplinaries  
Explore the Eduvos policies, processes, and disciplinary procedures. Knowing these guidelines will help you navigate the academic landscape responsibly.  

Wellness and Employability  
Discover resources and support services aimed at enhancing your wellness and employability. Learn about the various avenues available to promote both your physical and mental well-being.  

Resource Centre Guide  
Explore the resources available in the campus library or resource centre. These centres will assist you in accessing materials essential for your studies.
