Eduvos Secures a Spot in the Top 10 at This Year’s GradStar Awards.

Post by Eduvos, September 11, 2024.

Eduvos has been named one of the top 10 higher education institutions out of 38 recognised institutions on the GradStar Awards Top 500. As the only private institution in the top 10, this achievement underscores our commitment to placing students at the centre of everything we do.

The GradStar Awards, held annually, identify and connect the country’s most employable students and connect them with employers. The selection process evaluates students based on criteria that employers seek in ideal candidates, highlighting their strengths and areas for growth.

This year, over 6,000 students entered the competition, with 500 advancing to the next stage to compete for a spot in the GradStar Top 100. Eduvos is proudly represented by 20 students, spanning four faculties–Applied Science, Commerce and Law, Humanities, and Information Technology.

We remain committed to equipping our Vossies for the demands of the 21st-century workforce and are immensely proud of their success in the 2024 GradStar Awards. The following students represent Eduvos in the Top 500:

Our mission is to ensure that our students are work-ready upon graduation. Dedicated Employability Centres connect students with opportunities that help build essential skills beyond their academic studies. These include webinars, workshops, career fairs, information sessions, and direct employment opportunities.

Along with our Employability Centres, students in their final year participate in our Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme. In the WIL programme, students are immersed in the day-to-day running of a department within an organisation. This practical work exposure provides students with an overview of what they can expect in future employment opportunities and within their field of study.

As an educational institution deeply rooted in its values and focused on driving relevance, we remain a trusted contender in the broader higher education landscape in South Africa. Opportunities like the GradStar Awards, among others, remind us of the real possibilities for Eduvos students. While the competition continues, making it to the GradStar Top 500 is truly a cause for celebration.

Don’t miss your chance to join a leading institution recognised for its commitment to student success and employability. Enrolments are still open for the final intake of 2024 starting 30 September, or you can secure your place by pre-enrolling for 2025
