To meet the demands of the growing IT field, we remain committed to providing students with the tools to succeed.
As an institution, we recognise this need and continually refine our modes of learning, particularly within our Faculty of Information Technology (IT), where we’ve recently embraced UpNXT mode, our Sequential Mode of Delivery (SMD) offering. Previously known as the MLM/Self-Paced approach to learning with our Higher Certificates in Information Systems, UpNXT mode empowers students through independent learning to keep up with industry.
What is UpNXT Mode?
UpNXT is a self-directed learning approach where modules are offered in a consecutive format, allowing students to focus on one module at a time. This self-directed approach, along with our lecturers providing structured, timetabled academic support, and guidance creates a recipe for success.
At the core of our UpNXT mode is the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) approach to learning, allowing students to attend lectures anywhere on campus. Similarly, we have embraced the campus of the future which allows for the provision of exams to be written at home or on campus depending on student resources.
This approach to learning is best suited to students studying a Higher Certificate in Information Systems qualification with its many streams. Not only does it aid flexible learning, but it also allows students to enrol to start on any of our 12 intakes for IT Software streams and 9 intakes for IT Hardware streams throughout the year, across our 12 campuses.
Benefits of UpNXT
UpNXT mode is at the centre of our IT faculty where practical learning is prominent. Through our robust learning management system, myLMS, UpNXT students can conveniently focus on one module at a time with learning resources and activities at their fingertips. Not only does this approach to learning offer convenience, but it also empowers students to embrace practical projects and access cutting-edge IT labs preparing them for the workplace.
"We are excited about the benefits our range of Higher Certificate in Information Systems will offer students,” says Eduvos IT Faculty Head of Programme, Dr Amos Anele. “Eduvos's innovative sequential mode of delivery allows students to work through modules in a structured manner and build knowledge step-by-step. This approach enhances comprehension and also fosters practical skills development, preparing students for career success."
Eduvos offers qualifications in line with the industry, and we are true to our promise of making your employability our priority.
