Get ready for an exhilarating day of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and friendly competition as Vossie Campuses gear up to showcase their netball and soccer skills at the much-anticipated Intercampus Sports Day.
Hosted by the Potchefstroom campus, the Intercampus Sports Day is a testament to the strong sense of community that thrives within our institution. What better way to foster connections among our diverse campuses than through the spirit of healthy competition? As we all know, sports have a unique way of breaking down barriers and building lasting friendships. It isn’t often our campuses get to meet up and interact with one another. We believe that student experience is a very important part of the university experience, and this is an amazing opportunity to shine the spotlight on our campus clubs and sports teams.
Our talented Vossies will be showcasing their skills in both netball and soccer matches, creating an electric atmosphere that's sure to leave everyone on the edge of their seats. However, it's important to note that the true essence of the day lies in the healthy competitive spirit that will be embraced by all participants. We're encouraging our Vossies to approach each game with positivity, determination, and a friendly mindset.
The Potchefstroom campus has secured the High School for Girls Potchefstroom as the venue for the event. Their venue features netball courts and a hockey field, which will be utilised for the soccer matches.
The action-packed day will kick off at 9am with a warm and spirited welcome session, setting the tone for the excitement to come. Soon after, the games will begin, and our campuses will vie for victory on the netball courts and soccer fields. Winning teams will be awarded a floating trophy for both Soccer and Netball.
For those planning to attend and support our Vossies, we've got you covered. An on-site vendor will be offering an assortment of refreshments for purchase, ensuring that you're fuelled up and ready to cheer on your favourite campus. From snacks to drinks, you'll find everything you need to keep your energy levels high and your spirits even higher.
