The Humanities Access Programme aims to equip you with essential academic preparation, skills, and foundational knowledge to successfully enter higher education. This programme is designed for students who may not meet traditional entry requirements but demonstrate potential and motivation for academic success.

 

This programme promotes inclusivity in higher education, offering alternative pathways that support diverse learners. It aims to build your confidence, improve retention rates, and foster both academic and long-term career success. You will develop essential skills for higher learning, including critical thinking, academic literacy, and research competency.

Entry requirements
  • Bachelor's degree pass or equivalent

  • Or certificate of evaluation on a minimum NQF level 4 for foreign qualifications issued by SAQA

  • Or a letter or certificate confirming an exemption from Universities South Africa (USAf) for any other school-leaving results.

  • Or completion of National N Diploma (TVET).

  • Or completion of any recognised qualification on a minimum of NQF level 5 with at least 120 credits.

 

AND

 

  • English Language between 30% and 49%.

  • Mathematical Literacy between 30% - 49%. *

 

*Applicable to streams with Economics as area of specialisation.

This is an access programme which is not registered on the qualifications framework. This programme provides access to Eduvos Bachelor of Arts qualifications that are taught at the same level as those at National Qualifications Framework (NQF) level 5.
