Start your journey towards qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. The Eduvos Postgraduate Bridging Programme in Accounting (CTA 1) allows students entry into our SAICA-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA/CTA 2).  

 

Are you interested in pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant, but your undergraduate degree is not accredited by SAICA? If so, the Eduvos CTA 1 could be the perfect solution to help you achieve your career goals. The programme is aimed at students who do not yet qualify for our SAICA Accredited PGDA / CTA 2, and offers a fast track into the Eduvos PGDA to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.  

 

The programme provides comprehensive video lectures and tutorials, summary notes and past exam practice questions on all subject areas including:  

 

Financial reporting

Management Accounting and Finance

Auditing, Governance and Ethics

Taxation  

 

The CTA 1 is delivered 100% online, through Eduvos unique Distance Self Paced Online (DSO) mode of delivery. This self paced mode of delivery means that you can start studying at any time during the year and finish your studies flexibly at a pace that suits you between 6 to 18 months.

 

Although we are a new programme, we have a dedicated team of lecturers who have years of experience in supporting students on their journey to qualifying as Chartered Accountants. Our team have all taught on some of the country’s top programmes, producing some of the highest pass rates in the SAICA board exams.  

 

You will have the support of our highly experienced and passionate lecturers who are here to answer your questions and guide you throughout your studies. 

Entry Requirements Important

• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Internal Auditing.  

• Or equivalent Adv.Dip, B.Tech, or B.Acc in Accounting or Internal Auditing.  

• Or PGDip or B.Com Hons in Management Accounting & Financial Management  

• And the qualification must include Financial Accounting at NQF-7 and Financial Management at NQF-7, and at least two of: Management Accounting, Auditing or Taxation at NQF-6  

 

Students with a National Diploma in Accounting or Auditing, or a B.Com in Financial Management or any other qualification should discuss the alternative study paths with your dedicated Eduvos Higher Education Consultant.  

Pricing

The Eduvos Postgraduate Programme in Accounting Bridging to PGDA (CTA1) offers a flexible structure where you pay one flat fee whether you study over 6, 12 or 18 months. You choose when to write your final exam. Please consult the fee schedule on the website for the latest fees. Eduvos offers two payment options: Full price (upfront): R33 248,00 Monthly (11 months): R7 150,00 per month.

Completion of the Bridging Programme in Advanced 
Accounting guarantees you a place in our SAICA 
endorsed Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA).


The bridging programme also develops advanced 
accounting and analytical skills valued across business 
and finance, enhancing your professional profile and 
career prospects. 

The Eduvos Postgraduate CA Programme is divided 
into three levels:
• CA Level 1 – Bridging Programme
• CA Level 2 – First semester of the PGDA
• CA Level 3 – Second semester of the PGDA


Each level functions like a semester but with a flexible 
start date and a flexible duration of 6, 9, 12, or 18 
months, depending on your chosen pace.


Every level includes all four core subjects, and each 
subject is divided into three smaller parts (or modules) 
that can be completed in 6–18 weeks:


• Financial Reporting (Parts 1–3)
• Management Accounting and Finance (Parts 1–3)
• Auditing, Governance, and Ethics (Parts 1–3)
• Taxation (Parts 1–3)


Your pace determines your completion time: completing each part in six weeks means finishing the level in about six months, while 9, 12, or 18 week parts 
correspond to 9, 12, or 18 month levels.

Upon successful completion, you are awarded the Eduvos Bridging Programme in Advanced Accounting certificate.


The bridging programme is recognised (rather than endorsed) by SAICA as part of your academic progression towards qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (SA) and guarantees entry into our SAICA endorsed PGDA.
