Start your journey towards qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. The Eduvos Postgraduate Bridging Programme in Accounting (CTA 1) allows students entry into our SAICA-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA/CTA 2).  

 

Are you interested in pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant, but your undergraduate degree is not accredited by SAICA? If so, the Eduvos CTA 1 could be the perfect solution to help you achieve your career goals. The programme is aimed at students who do not yet qualify for our SAICA Accredited PGDA / CTA 2, and offers a fast track into the Eduvos PGDA to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.  

 

The programme provides comprehensive video lectures and tutorials, summary notes and past exam practice questions on all subject areas including:  

 

Financial reporting

Management Accounting and Finance

Auditing, Governance and Ethics

Taxation  

 

The CTA 1 is delivered 100% online, through Eduvos unique Distance Self Paced Online (DSO) mode of delivery. This self paced mode of delivery means that you can start studying at any time during the year and finish your studies flexibly at a pace that suits you between 6 to 18 months.

 

Although we are a new programme, we have a dedicated team of lecturers who have years of experience in supporting students on their journey to qualifying as Chartered Accountants. Our team have all taught on some of the country’s top programmes, producing some of the highest pass rates in the SAICA board exams.  

 

You will have the support of our highly experienced and passionate lecturers who are here to answer your questions and guide you throughout your studies.

Entry requirements

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Internal Auditing.  

Or equivalent Adv.Dip, B.Tech, or B.Acc in Accounting or Internal Auditing.  

Or PGDip or B.Com Hons in Management Accounting & Financial Management  

And the qualification must include Financial Accounting at NQF-7 and Financial Management at NQF-7, and at least two of: Management Accounting, Auditing or Taxation at NQF-6  

 

Students with a National Diploma in Accounting or Auditing, or a B.Com in Financial Management or any other qualification should discuss the alternative study paths with your dedicated Eduvos Higher Education Consultant.

Price:

The Eduvos CTA 1 offers a unique course structure where you pay one flat fee regardless of whether you study over 6, 12 or 18 months, and with our flexible self-paced programme you are able to choose when to write your final exam so that you only write when you are ready.

Monthly payment over 5 months (full time study).  
Monthly payment over 10 months (part time study).

Programme accreditation

Upon successful completion, you are awarded an Eduvos Postgraduate Bridging Programme to PGDA (CTA 1) Certificate.  

 

As the CTA 1 bridging programme is a short learning course it is not accredited by SAICA but allows entry into our SAICA-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, and is a recognised by SAICA as part of your academic progression towards ultimately qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.  

Possible career options

Successful completion of the CTA 1 guarantees entry into our SAICA accredited PGDA (CTA 2). Alternatively, most businesses need accountants and managers with strong accounting backgrounds. The bridging programme gives you the advanced knowledge to boost your career and CV.
